I’m a great place The idea of the short film The Lake was originally to test out new filming equipment prior to making a new feature film: The Lorelei. While trying to find an actress on Casting Call Pro to take part in the feature film, I asked people who answered the casting call, if anyone would be interested in taking part in a short film so i could test the new equipment. The idea being that the actor could use the film in full or part towards the showreel.

 

Several actors responded and I picked the first one I thought suitable who could act well. This is Charlotte Baker. I asked Lorie-Lanie Shanks, an actor with a lead role in The Lorelei, if she would alo take part. She agreed, so me, these two, Sophie Townsend, and Lesley Evans got together at the Lake and made this short film.

 

It was written in a couple of hours. Quite a simple story, but I think, a lovely theme.
