A budget of £20 million achieves a remarkable movie with excellent acting, and a good plot line which often jots you in your seat. A cut above many sci-fi movies made on huge budgets.

Comment: Good production values. A very mixed horror film with darkly comic overtones. Low budget but a good result. A USA film. Not considered a true original plot here, but will appeal to audiences who like their horror films tinged with a bit of satire and prefer a linear storyline.

A highly acclaimed cult film with a very original story line based on a book. This is a film for both Sci-fi fans and people who like a subtle kind of under-stated horror movie. Intelligent. Artistic. Well presented with excellent production quality and with a major actress in the starring role. Visually exciting in parts. More Art House than horror. Highly recommended. A horror film above its class in quality of acting, make-up, and story-live. Not a slasher movie but a well thought out, if slightly hackneyed story line. A contemporary retelling of Rosemary's Baby, but better.

Original. odd visually too for a tiny budget.
